Offero Selected as the Volunteer Management System for Longmont's Parks, Open Space and Trails Division

City of Longmont’s Parks, Open Space and Trails Division Highlights Commitment to Volunteers with New Volunteer Management System

The City of Longmont’s Parks, Open Space and Trails Division (POST) has selected Fort Collins-based Offero as its volunteer management system. POST, which resides under the Department of Public Works and Natural Resources, will go live with Offero in early March. Offero was chosen out of several contenders because of its reputation as the industry leading volunteer management system for parks, open spaces, and natural areas. POST was previously using Microsoft Excel to manage volunteers.

“We are excited to show the hard-working volunteers of POST how valued they are by investing in a volunteer management system that will allow us to provide them with top-notch features and service”, said Danielle Levine, Natural Resources Volunteer Coordinator with the City of Longmont.

Developed by Squarei Technologies in 2012, Offero is a cloud-based volunteer management system that will save POST’s staff members and volunteers alike time and energy with intuitive features like automated hour tracking, shift reminders and notifications, self-reported site visits with impact-related measures, eLearning, activity registration, highly-customizable reporting, and more. Other local government customers of Offero include the City of Boulder, the City of Fort Collins, Boulder County, and Jefferson County—to name a few.

Lindsey Rehder, COO of Squarei Technologies, commented, “The City of Longmont’s Parks, Open Space and Trails Division runs a highly regarded volunteer program. We look forward to providing them with the tools necessary to take their program to the next level.”

POST maintains 1962 acres of parks consisting of eight nature areas, six community parks, 25 neighborhood parks, and two dog parks. The division’s volunteers participate in one-time and ongoing programs like Adopt-a-Park, Raptor Monitoring, and Clean Up, Green Up.
